| When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was: creative, outgoing and structured. The three careers that match my style are: firefighter, architect, and police officer. From this information I have decided to explore becoming a firefighter. I selected this job because I enjoy helping others and I like to use the equipment. One of my daily activities as a firefighter would be to help others. I also have to prevent fires. In addition, I have to put out fires.To work as a firefighter, I need to get a post secondary certificate. I must be good at helping others, and putting out fires in order to become a well trained firefighter. In the United States, the average salary for a firefighter is $45,581 per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is $51,690. In the United States by the year 2016, employment for a firefighter is expected to increase by 12%. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016 it is expected to increase by 17%. I am looking forward to becoming a firefighter in the future. |
